Situated on the gentle banks of the Charente, Jarnac remembers the time when its port welcomed salt and wine in abundance. The town quickly became a large trade center because of its position in the middle for the production area for the well known" life water" of Cognac.

PRE-ORDER YOUR GROCERIES

Take advantage of our online grocery ordering service which allows you to order a selection of basic provisions for your first few nights on board. This is especially useful if you are not driving to your base, or know you will be arriving after the supermarkets have closed. Simply download a provisioning list here, send it to the base and they will do your shopping for you! The cost of your groceries is payable in local currency when you arrive.

PRE-ARRANGE YOUR TAXI TRANSFER

Le Boat will be happy to arrange transfers from your arrival point to the base. Please download a taxi transfer form here and send it to the base at least 14 days prior to departure. The base receptionist will contact you directly to confirm details of your transfer.

BASE FACILITIES

Our base offers toilets, showers, fresh hot drinks and a washing machine for your use.

There is open parking available free of charge. Enclosed parking without surveillance costs, Extra Charge and there is also a garage with 6 places available at an extra charge.

OPENING HOURS

8.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 6pm. The base is closed on Sunday.

Please note that if you have pre-booked an Early Check-In, then the base will be open for your arrival.

The boats are available between 4pm and 6pm. If you are going to arrive late, please advise us by phone.

You will find all traditional shops and services at Jarnac.
