Base manager Jelmer de Vries welcomes you to Strand Horst. Windmills tower at the entrance of towns as if to mark your route along the pretty Dutch landscape and thousands of ponds, lakes, brooks and canals flow in every direction to form magnificent aquatic embroidery. When cruising in Holland you soon find that boating is a way of life. Marina Strand Horst is situated in a beautiful, natural environment. This is a luxury resort with a Mediterranean atmosphere and lots of facilities on site.

PRE-ORDER YOUR GROCERIES

Take advantage of our online grocery ordering service which allows you to order a selection of basic provisions for your first few nights on board. This is especially useful if you are not driving to your base, or know you will be arriving after the supermarkets have closed. Simply download a provisioning list here, send it to the base and they will do your shopping for you! The cost of your groceries is payable in local currency when you arrive.

PRE-ARRANGE YOUR TAXI TRANSFER

Le Boat will be happy to arrange transfers from your arrival point to the base. Please download a taxi transfer form here and send it to the base at least 14 days prior to departure. The base receptionist will contact you directly to confirm details of your transfer.

LATE ARRIVALS

If you are going to be arriving at the base late, you will need to inform the base directly or the general sales office where you booked. When you arrive at the base , at the main entrance you will find the phone number of the harbour master. You will need to contact him and he will come and let you in. The boat will be left open with the lights on for you to stay on board that night. The base staff will do the full briefing the following morning.

Please note that arrivals after 20:00 are not possible as the marina is locked.
