From our new base in Montauban, one of the oldest Bastide towns in southern France, cruise along the fully restored Canal de Montech through the beautiful Agre forest to Montech and experience the amazing boat lift before joining the Canal latéral à la Garonne on a leisurely cruise of this beautiful region famed for its rural lifestyle, medieval history and wonderful gastronomy. Notable places to visit en route to Buzet on the River Baïse, include the wonderful cloisters at Moissac, 13th century Valence-d’Agen popular for its bustling weekday markets and Agen, famous for its prunes and home to wonderful Gallo-Roman treasures and works of art by Goya, Sisley and Dufy.

Lots of walks along the banks of the Canal des Deux-Mers.
Beautifully located with the canal flowing through the centre of the town and crossing the Garonne. Moissac is on the pilgrims route of St Jacques to Compostelle.
